SMOKEYPAN

I was raised in Ilesa, Osun State, where food was inseparable from memory, hospitality and the way people gathered. I began cooking seriously in college, first as a way to bring friends to the same table.

In 2018, I moved to the United States to pursue a PhD in mechanical engineering at the University of Central Florida. Research in thermal engineering and the papers I published strengthened a habit that still guides my cooking: observe closely, test deliberately and understand why something works.

SmokeyPan began as a way to share that curiosity. Through cinematic videos, precise technique and recipes with an unexpected turn, I built a community drawn to food that feels familiar and new at once. My cooking carries the flavours that shaped me into conversation with the cuisines and experiences that continue to expand my palate.

Origins is the next chapter: a record of the flavours I carry, the places that have influenced me and the tables I hope to create.
